# Monitor n8n workflows with HookPulse check-ins

Add an HTTP Request node at the end of the workflow. If the workflow stops or fails, the check-in does not arrive.

## Step 1. Create the monitor

Add a routine named n8n-workflow and set how often the job runs. Its page shows the check-in URL: use it in place of https://hookpulse.net/in/YOUR_ID.

## Step 2. Add the HTTP Request node

Copy the JSON and paste it on the canvas, then connect it after the last node. The method is GET.

```json
{
  "nodes": [
    {
      "parameters": {
        "url": "https://hookpulse.net/in/YOUR_ID",
        "options": {
          "timeout": 10000
        }
      },
      "name": "HookPulse check-in",
      "type": "n8n-nodes-base.httpRequest",
      "typeVersion": 4.2,
      "position": [
        900,
        300
      ]
    }
  ],
  "connections": {}
}
```

## Step 3. Run it once

Execute the workflow once. The routine shows the first check-in. From then on, a missed or failed run sends the alert.
